Cycle Club of Fort Worth

Every year, the Cycle Club of Fort Worth holds a Long John Run in February.  in 2010, it was held on February 21st. 

For 2010, we started the run at Fort Worth Harley Davidson, located 3025 W. Loop 820 S. Fort Worth.   The management was very cooperative and opened the shop early for us.  Also, the Girl Scouts were there to sell cookies, so our run provided some extra customers for them.

aturday, the 20th was chilly and wet.  It rained Saturday night and there was a chilly drizzle early Sunday morning.  This had the obvious negative effect on the number of riders that showed up.  However, by nine o'clock, it was dry and as the day went on, it got quite warm.  By 2:00 PM, the day was a beautiful day. 

As you can see, as the bikes began arriving at the clubhouse, the sun was breaking out.  But, since the day started out wet, we decided to do the  awards inside.

As the riders arrived, our referee, J. D. Duncan had to do the scoring.

As usual, Clifford wins long distance male rider since he rides in from San Antonio.

Whitney L. won the 50/50 and donated it to his favorite charity

Due to the weather, the turnout was very small, but all who did show up had a great time. 

We at the Cycle Club of Fort Worth enjoyed putting on this run and hope that all of you that participated enjoyed the day as well.   Come on out and give it a try. 

Now you will have to wait until November for our Turkey Run.
